Candle Care & Safety Guide

Our natural soy and coconut apricot wax candles are poured in small batches to ensure maximum scent throw and clean performance. Follow this guide to enjoy the best burn possible.

1. The Golden First Burn

On your first burn, allow the candle to light for **2 to 3 hours** (or until the liquid wax pool has completely reached all edges of the glass jar). This sets the wax "memory" and prevents tunneling.

2. Trim Your Wicks

Before lighting your candle each time, trim the cotton wick to exactly **1/4 inch** (6mm). This prevents soot build-up, ensures a balanced flame size, and eliminates popping or smoking.

3. Safe Burn Times

Never burn your candle for more than **4 hours** in a single session. This prevents the glass jar from overheating. Extinguish, let the jar cool completely, trim the wick, and relight if desired.

4. Keep Away from Drafts

Keep burning candles away from open windows, fans, ceiling vents, and heavy drafts. Air currents can cause the candle to burn unevenly, reducing the overall burn hours and throwing soot.

5. Wax Melt Guidelines

Use only approved tea-light or electric wax warmers. Never add water to your melts. To clean spent wax, place 2–3 cotton balls in the warm dish to absorb the liquid, wipe clean, and place a fresh cube.

6. Clean & Upcycle

Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains. Pour hot water inside the jar to float the remaining wax, pull out the metal wick tab, and wash with warm soap and water. Our matte black jars make perfect storage pots.

General Fire Safety Standards: Burn within sight at all times. Keep away from combustible items, children, and pets. Never burn candles near anything that can catch fire. Ensure you extinguish the flame completely before leaving the room or retiring.
