Our commitments to packaging, shipping nationwide, refunds, and protecting your data.
Shipping Policy
Each of our candles and wax melts is hand-poured in small, artisan batches at our scent studio in Salisbury, North Carolina. We handle and pack every order with care to ensure your items arrive safely at your hearth.
- Shipping Coverage: We currently ship nationwide across the USA. We do not offer international shipping at this time.
- Processing Times: Orders are processed and packed within 1–3 business days. You will receive a tracking confirmation email once your order has shipped.
- Carriers & Transit: We ship primarily via USPS Ground Advantage and UPS Ground. Normal transit times are typically 2–5 business days depending on your location.
- Rates: Standard shipping is calculated at checkout based on weight, or offered at promotional flat rates.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be completely satisfied with your highland-inspired scents. If you are not happy with your purchase, we offer simple return guidelines:
- 30-Day Policy: You may return unused, unlit candles and unopened wax melts in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the product price.
- Damages during Transit: Since glass jars and plastic packaging can occasionally be damaged in shipping, we cover replacements. If your order arrives broken, please email a photo of the damaged items and packaging to info@kilted-candles.com. We will ship a replacement immediately at no cost to you.
- Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is a result of our error or transit damage.
Privacy & Checkout Security
We respect your privacy and value your trust. We commit to a clean, secure data standard:
- Information Collected: We collect only the information needed to fulfill your order (Name, shipping address, email, and shopping choices). We do not collect or store your payment details on our servers.
- Transaction Security: Our payments are securely routed and handled in full compliance with PCI standards via Snipcart and our payment gateway (Stripe). Your card information is encrypted at the moment of checkout.
- Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your email address or personal details with any third parties for advertising or tracking.

By browsing and placing an order on our site, you acknowledge and agree to our artisan terms:
- Artisan Hand-Pouring: Because our products are hand-poured in small batches in North Carolina, minor aesthetic variations in wax frosting, wax coloration, and label alignment are normal characteristics of handcrafting and do not affect scent throw or performance.
- Visual Representations: Product images (including candles and wax melts) shown on this site are high-quality mockups. Actual wax colors or label textures may differ slightly. We reserve the right to modify design layouts, scents, or styling at any time.
